Up First....AUDITIONS!


Project Hopewell, Inc. is excited to announce the fourth year of auditions in Laverne Reed’s The Chocolate Nutcracker.  In just a few days, amateur and professional dancers from across Jefferson and Shelby counties, will audition for parts in the holiday production which was originally presented by Project Hopewell to the Birmingham community in November of 2009.

Auditions will occur as follows:

ADVANCED Dancers for Principal Cast & Groups – Call to Schedule.

Advanced dancers will be required to perform a one minute piece for the audition and will be cast for all principal parts in the production.  Every genre of dance is encouraged to audition, whether hip-hop, jazz, ballet, modern, tap, African or liturgical.

There is an audition fee of $15 per participant which is due at registration.  All dancers are requested to wear dance attire and arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled audition times, as late arrivals will not be accommodated.
